Furey, Doolan & Abell, LLP is pleased to announce that two of its senior associates have become partners of the firm, effective January 1, 2006. Robert E. Grant, a graduate of Washington & Lee University School of Law and former law clerk to the Honorable J. James McKenna (retired) of the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland, specializes in commercial and fiduciary litigation as well as estate-related disputes. He practices before state and federal courts in Maryland and the District of Columbia. Rob has been with the firm since 1999. Charles S. Abell, a 1996 University of Virginia law school graduate, clerked for the Honorable Thomas F. Hogan of the U.S. District Court for D.C. before beginning the practice of law at Covington & Burling in D.C. He joined Furey, Doolan & Abell in 2000, where he specializes in trusts, fiduciary matters, business and estate planning, and tax law. Charles is a member of the Bars of the District of Columbia and Maryland. The partners also will welcome Michael F.X. Dolan, Jr., to be a partner in the firm effective April 3, 2006. Mr. Dolan, a graduate of the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law, was associated with the firm from 1992-1994. Since 1994, he has been a member of a Boston, Massachusetts firm practicing employment law, business law, and civil litigation in state and federal courts. Mr. Dolan is a member of the Bars of Maryland, the District of Columbia and Massachusetts. With Furey, Doolan & Abell, he will represent business and individual clients in both litigation and transactional matters. |
