Furey, Doolan & Abell Welcomes Two New Associates
On November 7, 2011, Elizabeth A. Kearns joined Furey, Doolan & Abell’s estate planning and administration practice. Elizabeth is a recent graduate of Duke Law and was a summer associate with the firm in 2010. Elizabeth also interned with the U.S. Department of Justice, Tax Division in 2009. A native Washingtonian, Elizabeth graduated from Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart in Bethesda, Maryland, and then received her B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. Elizabeth recently passed the Maryland Bar Exam and will be practicing under the supervision of our Maryland attorneys pending her swearing in.
On November 14, James P. Lillis joined the firm's litigation practice as an associate. James is a 2003 graduate of Georgetown University and graduated from the Georgetown University Law Center, cum laude, in 2010. While at Georgetown Law he was Senior Editor of the Georgetown International Environmental Law Review. James recently completed a clerkship with the Honorable Eric T. Washington, Chief Judge of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. He is admitted to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
