Rob Grant has a
general civil trial practice in Maryland and the District of
Columbia, with a focus on fiduciary litigation, including matters
relating to estates, trusts and contested guardianships. Mr. Grant
has tried to verdict cases involving will challenges, valuation of
estate assets, the interpretation and construction of wills and
trust instruments, and tort claims relating to inter vivos transfers
of assets. Mr. Grant also advises both fiduciaries and
beneficiaries in matters relating to the conduct, duties and proper
compensation of fiduciaries. In addition, Mr. Grant frequently
handles contested guardianship cases, particularly where substantial
assets require management.
In addition to
his fiduciary litigation practice, Mr. Grant counsels clients on and
litigates issues regarding commercial transactions and corporate
governance.
Mr. Grant served as Law
Clerk to the Honorable J. James McKenna of the Circuit Court for
Montgomery County, Maryland.
Mr. Grant is active in
the community, serving on the Boards of the Jesuit Gridiron Classic,
the Salvation Army Advisory Council, and the United Way, Montgomery
County Regional Council. He and his wife live in Bethesda.
