Experience

|
Mr. Abell advises clients on a wide range of estate planning matters,
including planning and drafting of wills, trusts, and powers of
attorney, charitable gift planning, planning for transfer of family
businesses, conservation planning for real estate, and disability
planning. Mr. Abell assists personal representatives and trustees
in the administration of estates and trusts and provides legal and
tax advice relevant to such administration. Mr. Abell's tax and
corporate practice includes corporate formations and dissolutions,
corporate tax planning, pension and benefits matters, mergers, sales,
and shareholder agreements.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Abell was an associate at Covington
& Burling, in Washington, D.C. Before entering private practice,
Mr. Abell served as law clerk to the Honorable Thomas F. Hogan,
United States District Judge for the District of Columbia.
